STRAVA
195 MILLION USE THIS AP
I am not familiar with Starva, but with nearly 200 million users I checked. It’s a runner and fitness training paradise:

SO, you ask?
They left out unintended consequences. STRAVA tracks you, as in a French sailor assigned to the country’s one and only aircraft carrier, the Charles de Gaulle, “secretly” plowing Eastern Mediterranean waters waters protecting French shipping-- or so he and the French Navy thought.
This. sailor was into fitness, a runner. What better place than. the desk of an aircraft carrier. He ran 4 miles, and Strava’d his progress and other parameters on his smart watch. And while Strava kept the sailor’s physical parameters and other useful information, it was also keeping track of the sailor; his where and when.
LE MONDE is a venerable and highly regarded French daily newspaper. If you don’t know it, I recommend it. No French? No problem. Most newspapers of value are available in whatever language you need, ubiquitous English included.
See it coming?
LE MONDE wanted to find the Charles de Gaulle and what it was up to. The French Navy wouldn’t tell them, secret location. So Strava on the wrist of a French sailor running the De Gaulle’s deck provided the answer, LE MONDE confirmed its “finding” using available satellite photographs, and had its “where’s" the De Gaulle carrier group” story.
Bon Dieu!
